What is HDIP and who is it for?

HDIP is a stand-alone software package for data analysis of laser-ablation inductively-coupled-plasma mas spectrometry imaging data. HDIP is compatible with Chromium 2.3+ , which is the lasing software used by lasers build by Teledyne Photon Machines (formerly Photon Machines).

Where can I look to learn more about HDIP?

This website provides support information to users of HDIP, and provides information to those looking to purchase HDIP. This website contains tutorials and help information on the use of HDIP. Users can be provided with hands-on support, as well as email support. Get in touch if you want to know more.

What are the requirements to run HDIP?

HDIP is a stand-alone piece and does not require any other software packages to be installed or purchased. Laser log data can only be read from the Chromium software package, so you’ll need access to a Teledyne Photon Machines laser to import the laser log data.

My workstation is not connected to the internet, can I still install and update HDIP?

Yes, HDIP uses an activation system that works for both online and offline workstations. HDIP installations on workstations connected to the internet receive updates and notifications on the updates over the network. Updates can also be requested for offline workstations via our support email at [email protected].

I have a Teledyne Photon Machines laser system, where do I buy HDIP?

HDIP can be purchased directly from Teledyne Photon Machines / CETAC technologies. Please contact a sales agent at [email protected].

How cost-competitive is HDIP?

Teledyne Photon Machines offers competitive and affordable pricing for HDIP licenses, as we are dedicated to help scientists to get the most out of our their Teledyne Photon Machines laser ablation systems. For a quote, please contact a sales agent at [email protected].

Can I generate LA-ICP-MS images with my system?

If you have a laser system build by Teledyne Photon Machines (formerly Photon Machines), and have access to Chromium 2.0 or higher, you can take advantage of HDIP to create images faster and better than relying on in-house solutions. HDIP supports a variety of ICP-MS systems with different mass analyzers, including quadrupole, triple-quad, sector-field and time-of-flight.

I want to do bulk elemental analysis of my sample buttons. Can HDIP provide a solution?

Yes, HDIP provides a workflow for bulk elemental analysis. Accurate ultra-trace, trace, minor and major element concentration can be calculated using (matrix-matched) reference standards.

I want to do an imaging project. Can HDIP generate the images?

Yes, HDIP provides advanced image reconstruction algorithms which are able to produce images from any combination of laser ablation patterns.

I'm having troubles with requesting the license. How do I get help?

There is a walkthrough guide to set up a license in the Support center.
